PABST BLUE RIBBON BEER CAN
Designed for Pabst Brewery
Near the end of December, Pabst Brewery sent out a request to artist to design the 2021 can. For a few years now, Pabst has done this event inviting artists to showcase their unique art style on their beer cans. I was excited to display my own work in a simple design that reflected my won style while staying true to the Pabst legacy, logo, and product.
CAN OF THORNS
This can idea was inspired by my doodling. Often when doodling I like to create a vine pattern and put roses and thorns on it. I thought what better way to display my own personal design than showing a staple of my sketches.

ROSE DECO
This can was inspired by my love of old styles of art such as Art Deco and Art Nouveau. I used a stronger use of Art Deco in this design to not only get the style I wanted, but to tie back to Pabst Brewery's classic roots. I kept things simple and geometric to mimic the style and continued using roses as I did in the previous design.

MIDNIGHT LAGOON
This design went off of the last design I did but relied more on Art Nouveau this time rather than Art Deco. I was inspired by my favorite artist Alphonse Mucha to create a can design that looked like his paintings. I brought a floral element into this but decided to instead of roses, incorporate lilies. I wanted to create a simple but serene mood with my can by creating a beautiful midnight lagoon.

ADVENTURE IN A CAN
This design was my attempt at getting away from the traditional. I wanted to portray the brand as an adventure in a can. I knew I wanted to do something illustrative and I had a previous sketch from a different project that involved a dragon that I had not used. I decided to use it here and create a story around it. I broke away from the traditional can colors I had been sticking to with the original designs and added a splashes of green to change things up. Originally the design was much more complicated but I stripped much of it away knowing I didn't want to complicate the design or can for users.
